Armed Forces Day Rugby Event - 22nd June 2024

Military vs Cancer Armed Forces Day Rugby Event at the home of the Newcastle Falcons 10,400 seat Kingston Park Stadium.

This year we are returning to Kingston Park with the very best rugby teams that the military can offer and will once again put the military, in particular locally based units, on display in this magnificent venue. United Kingdom Armed Forces RFC men’s and women’s teams will take on North of England Select XV on 22^nd June and this time we are aiming for a crowd in excess of 5000.

UK Armed Forces Rugby is a team made up of the best players from across the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force that represents the British Armed Forces. Following on from its success in the men’s game last year, this event is set to be the biggest community Rugby event in the North, if not the UK in 2024. This event will play host to the Northeast Women’s XV – which is of national significance, since the region lost its only Premiership club.  This flagship game puts aspirational players back in the spotlight as they seek to expand their rugby careers while supporting this MvC Armed Forces Day event and a game at the very top of the amateur pathway.

This is a huge event at a magnificent venue that highlights the Military and the people that serve. A flypast, parachute event, military displays and a marching band will enhance the day and give the event an additional military aspect.
