Military vs Cancer Hadrians Wall Walk
Military vs Cancer are delighted to announce the 2025 challenge will take place along the beautiful back drop of Hadrian’s Wall.
The challenge will be split into 2 events:
EVENT ONE – 4-day walk along Hadrian’s Wall – Thursday 29th May to Sunday 1st June
Embark on an unforgettable journey through time along one of Britain’s most iconic landmarks.
Rich Roman History, walk in the footsteps of ancient legionnaires with breathtaking landscapes. Enjoy stunning views of the Northumberland and Cumbrian countryside with archaeological wonders such as well-preserved forts, milecastles, and temples. Experience warm local hospitality in charming villages.
EVENT TWO – 1 day walk along Hadrian’s Wall – Saturday 31st May
The one-day walk will cover 20 miles from Housesteads to Walton taking in some breath-taking scenery and history including the famous Sycamore gap.
Both challenges are open to EVERYONE, you do not need to be military or a veteran. As long as you are happy to take part, have a laugh and help raise much needed funds for Military vs Cancer to provide support to those who need it the most.
Registration for the 4-day walk is £110 per person, this will guarantee your place on the walk and will cover the cost of having qualified leaders, drinks, snacks, event t-shirts, transport and insurance.
Registration for the 1-day challenge is £60.00 per person, this will guarantee your place on the walk and will cover the cost of having qualified leaders, drinks, snacks, event t-shirt, transport and insurance.
Accommodation at Broomley Grange including all your meals is also available
We have secured accommodation at the fantastic Broomley Grange (see images), if required this will be charged at £78 per person.
For those doing the 4-day event meals will be provided Thursday evening, Friday breakfast, lunch and evening meal, Saturday breakfast, lunch and evening meal, Sunday breakfast and lunch.
For those doing the 1-day event meals will be provided Friday evening, Saturday breakfast, lunch and evening meal as well as Sunday breakfast.
Should you wish to bring a camper van to site you are more than welcome, if you require us to provide meals there will be a £40 charge for those doing the 4-day and a £20 charge for those doing the 1-day event.
As we are trying to raise as much money as possible, we are asking each participant to either raise or donate £250 (1 day) £400 (4 day) to Military vs Cancer, details will be sent out on how to set this up will be sent at a later date.
